prior to issuance of a marriage license.
There is a mandatory three-day waiting period, after you file your marriage intentions, before your marriage license can be issued.

town clerk’s office in Massachusetts. In Provincetown please contact the
Town Clerk at
townclerk@provincetown-ma.gov

A waiver of the three-day waiting period can only be obtained by a judge - the nearest of which is in Orleans. To pursue this option, please contact the Orleans District Court directly at 508-255-4700.
